Data Issues Due To Changes At Yahoo Finance

Unfortunately, Yahoo Finance has decided to discontinue its data API that Stock Portfolio Organizer and many other 3rd party financial apps use. This means that features like filling stock names, upcoming dividends, and yahoo tick data are not working any more.

The reasoning behind this change from Yahoo Finance is:

“It has come to our attention that this service is being used in violation of the Yahoo Terms of Service. As such, the service is being discontinued. For all future markets and equities data research, please refer to finance.yahoo.com.”

The good news is that we are working on addressing these issues. In the mean time if you having been using the yahoo tick data plugin you can switch to the  alpha vantage real-time data plugin.
