We recommend that you backup your data on a regular basis in case of a hard disk failure. Otherwise, each time you open Stock Portfolio Organizer, a copy of your database is created in case it becomes corrupted for some reason.

1. Open File Explorer/Windows Explorer.
2. Type %ProgramData% into the address bar and press enter
3. Double click to open the folder called StockPortfolioOrganizer
4. Make a copy of the above folder to a USB stick or your cloud storage account.

4. Delete the contents of the above folder.
5. Copy the backup data to the above folder.
